Abstract

The polarization multiplex recordings using photocrosslinkable polymer liquid crystal films were demonstrated and characterized on the basis of Jones calculus. Plural linearly polarized 405 nm laser diode exposures while changing the polarization derived multiplex optical data storage and one recorded spot can include three kinds of information. The recorded information can be decoded by detecting the polarization states of the transmitted reading beam.
