A joint seminar was held at Muroran Institute of Technology with Takase Laboratory of Muroran Institute of Technology, Inoue Laboratory of Gunma National College of Technology, and Kiyota Laboratory of Institute of Industrial Science, University of Tokyo.
Visiting the disaster site of the 2000 Usu eruption, the students developed a high awareness of the threat of natural disasters and disaster prevention.
