交通工学とは輸送手段全般の解析と合理化を検討するためめの工学分野であり，物の輸送，人の輸送，情報の輸送について扱っています。輸送手段としては，自動車，鉄道，船舶，航空機が考えられますが，本研究室では，道路に関わる自動車交通の研究を主体としており，特に道路交通のハードウェアである舗装について研究を行っています。具体的には，アスファルト舗装の構造解析および構造評価，アスファルト舗装材料の力学的特性の評価および配合設計法の開発，アスファルト舗装材料の高機能化，産業廃棄物の各種舗装へのリユースなどが挙げられます。 このホ一ムぺージでは，本研究室で検討している研究課題が紹介されているので，是非とも参考にしてください。
Transportation engineering is a field of civil engineering. The transportation engineering includes highway engineering, railway engineering, port and harbor engineering and airport engineering.
This laboratory focuses on highway engineering. Highway engineering deals with the process of design and construction of efficient and safe highway and roads. Recent research studies on pavement engineering are pavement structure analysis, characteristic evaluation of asphalt pavement materials, development of the mixture design method, materialization of asphalt pavement materials with industrial waste.
The laboratory is equipped with facilities to conduct tests on bituminous materials, asphalt mixtures and pavement evaluations. Please refer to our homepage for details.
